State seeks public input on Glenn Highway safety improvements by July 3

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities is accepting public comment through July 3 on proposed safety and capacity improvements to the Glenn Highway between Arctic Avenue and Palmer-Fishhook Road.

The department will host a public meeting June 3 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Palmer Train Depot, 610 S Valley Way. A presentation begins at 5:15 p.m.

The project team is seeking feedback on the draft purpose and need statement, design options for intersections, and plans for non-motorized pathways along the corridor. The improvements aim to address safety concerns and traffic capacity on this section of the Glenn Highway in the Mat-Su Valley.
