The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities is accepting public comments through April 23 on a proposed 31-year lease of airport land in Iliamna to Rainbow River Lodge Aviation LLC.

The lease would cover Lot 10D, Block 50, approximately 36,261 square feet at Iliamna Airport, for use as float plane parking, cabin operations, aircraft fueling, and tie-downs supporting the company's commercial air taxi business. The lease would run through January 1, 2057, at an annual rent of $4,496.36.

The application was filed under Alaska Statute 02.15.090(c), which allows the department to grant the lease without competitive bidding. The lot is a successive lease to a previous agreement numbered ADA-50905.

Written comments must be received by 4:30 p.m. on April 23, 2026. The department will review all comments before deciding whether to execute the lease. Only people who submit written comments by the deadline will receive notification of the department's decision.
