The Alaska Department of Transportation is accepting public comments through May 8 on a proposal to extend Bristol Bay Air Service's lease at Dillingham Airport for another five years.

The lease covers about 19,800 square feet where the company operates air taxi services, including passenger and freight flights. If approved, Bristol Bay Air Service would pay $4,296.60 annually to continue using the space for aircraft maintenance, parking, and fuel storage.

The state can approve this lease extension without competitive bidding under Alaska law. The current lease allows the company to maintain a building for air taxi operations and store fuel for their aircraft only.

Written comments must be received by 4:30 p.m. on May 8, 2026. Only people who submit comments will be notified of the state's final decision.
