The Governor's Council on Disabilities and Special Education will hold a public meeting on Thursday, April 9, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. The meeting will be conducted over Zoom, and all community members are welcome to attend. The Self-Advocacy and Leadership Committee will discuss planning a fall advocacy workshop, review work plan activities for the next five years, and share updates on advocacy efforts. Committee members will also discuss federal advocacy resources and upcoming meetings. Zoom meeting details will be posted on Monday, April 6, 2026. The committee includes eight members from across Alaska who work on disability advocacy and special education issues. A recording of the meeting will be made during the session.
