The Governor's Council on Disabilities and Special Education is accepting public testimony on special education and early intervention services through May 4, 2026. The council wants to hear success stories and concerns from Alaskans.

The council will meet May 4-5 at the Atwood Building in Anchorage, with virtual attendance available. Public testimony is scheduled for May 4 from 4:15 to 4:45 p.m. Speakers are limited to three minutes each.

The council advises the governor on policies affecting Alaskans with disabilities and special education needs. The May meeting will cover council business over two days, from 9 a.m. to late afternoon both days.
