The Alaska Department of Natural Resources plans to issue a contract to Savant Alaska, LLC, allowing the company to extract 45,000 cubic yards of gravel from state land west of Deadhorse.

The material sale contract covers land in the western half of Section 14 and eastern half of Section 15, Township 9 North, Range 20 East, Umiat Meridian. The extraction falls under state regulations governing material sales on public land.

The department issued the notice April 24. No public comment period or hearing is specified in the notice.

Savant Alaska, LLC, applied for the contract under Alaska Statute 38.05.555, which governs disposal of materials from state land. The department's Northern Regional Office reviewed the application.
