The Alaska Department of Revenue is accepting public comments through May 1, 2026, on regulations that govern eligibility and application requirements for Permanent Fund Dividend payments.

The department wants to know which rules could be improved or clarified to make the dividend application process easier to understand and follow. Officials are particularly interested in changes that could reduce costs, streamline procedures, or provide greater transparency in decision-making.

This informal comment period covers all sections of the state's PFD regulations, found in Title 15 of the Alaska Administrative Code. The department says public input will help shape future decisions about refining the dividend process, though this is not a formal rulemaking process.

The regulations currently set statewide standards for who can receive dividend payments and how to apply for them. Any changes resulting from this review could affect how Alaskans apply for and receive their annual dividends.
