The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities is accepting bids through May 5, 2026, for a one-time purchase and delivery of E-1 aggregate to Chignik Lake and Karluk. Bids must arrive by 2 p.m. Alaska Standard Time on that date.

The federally funded project will supply gravel to the two communities on the Alaska Peninsula. The state will publicly open all bids received by the deadline. Late submissions will not be accepted.

Bidders can submit proposals electronically or by mail. Hard copy bids must be sealed and addressed to Erik Shook, procurement officer, at the Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, 3132 Channel Drive, Room 350, Juneau, Alaska 99801. Bidders using mail or courier services must confirm receipt by contacting Shook at 907-465-5852 or [email protected].

The state is not responsible for unreadable or missing electronic attachments. In the event Shook is unavailable, bidders can contact Cherish Petrenchak at 907-465-8447 or [email protected].

The department will ensure disadvantaged business enterprises have full opportunity to submit bids without discrimination based on race, color, or national origin. Bidders with disabilities who need auxiliary aids or special modifications should contact the Division of Supply and Services at least 10 days before the bid opening.
