The Alaska Judicial Council will hold public hearings in May to receive comments on applicants for four judicial vacancies across the state.

The council is seeking to fill positions on the Alaska Court of Appeals, Anchorage Superior Court, Anchorage District Court, and Kotzebue Superior Court. Members of the public can comment in person or by phone.

For the Court of Appeals, Anchorage Superior Court, and Anchorage District Court positions, the hearing will take place at 11:15 a.m. on Monday, May 18, 2026, in the Alaska Judicial Council Conference Room at 510 L Street, fourth floor, in Anchorage. For the Kotzebue Superior Court position, the hearing will be held at noon on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at the Nullagvik Hotel in the Katimavik Meeting Room at 306 Shore Avenue in Kotzebue.
