The Alaska Department of Transportation and the Municipality of Anchorage will host the Anchorage Transportation Fair on Wednesday, April 22, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Alaska Airlines Center.

The fair will feature information about upcoming road, rail, pedestrian, air, and safety projects planned for the Anchorage area. Attendees can learn about projects being designed near their neighborhoods and ask questions about construction timelines and impacts.

State transportation officials will showcase three major projects: rehabilitation of Spenard Road from Minnesota Drive to Benson Boulevard, improvements to the Glenn Highway and Hiland Road interchange, and rehabilitation of Fireweed Lane. The municipality will present projects including traffic calming and pedestrian safety improvements, the Quinhagak Street upgrade from East Dowling Road to Askeland Drive, and a new Winner Creek Trail bridge at Glacier Creek in Girdwood.

The event includes free snacks while supplies last and free parking. Attendees can reach the venue by taking bus routes 10, 20, or 55. The Alaska Airlines Center is located at 3550 Providence Drive in Anchorage.
