Call the Conference Committee on the Operating and Mental Health Appropriation Bills, HB 263 and HB 265, to order. It is 4 PM, May 12, 2026. Present are Senator Steadman, Senator Cronk, myself, Senator Hoffman, Representative Kao, Kashraghi, Representative Stapp, and Representative Johnson.
Today's agenda, limited powers of free conference have been granted by both House and Senate. I invite Mr. Alexi Painter, Director of Legislative Finance Division, to join us at the table. They will be addressing open items in HB HB 263 and HB 265 based on the motion sheets that were distributed to members earlier, earlier today, May 12th.
Going over the FY supplemental operating items. Representative Josephson. Yes, Mr. Chairman. For the FY supplemental operating items addressed today, I move that the committee adopt the following FY 26 supplemental operating items. Items 1 and 2, Senate.
Item 3, Senate, both items. Item 4 will be left open. Items 5 through 20, Senate, all items. Item 21 left open. Item 22, Senate, both items.
Items 23 through 25, Senate, all items. Are there questions on the motion? Are there any objections to that motion? Seeing none, that motion is adopted. This action closes conference— conferenceable items 1 through 3, item 5 through 20, item 22 through 25 in the FY26 supplemental operating budget.
Items left open are items 4 and item 21.
As future meetings of the conference committee are scheduled, they will be posted on BASIS to provide reasonable public notice under the 24-hour rule. Is there any additional items that any members of the conference committee would like to take up at this time? Seeing none, Representative Josephson. Mr. Chair, I move that we adjourn.
