The Alaska Department of Administration is exploring options to outsource state employee payroll processing to private companies and wants to hear from qualified vendors by April 27.

The Division of Finance issued a request for information seeking companies capable of handling comprehensive pay processing for all executive branch employees. The state wants to assess whether outsourcing could improve productivity, efficiency and accuracy compared to current in-house operations.

This information gathering does not guarantee future contracts. The division will use vendor responses to conduct market research on available options.

The request covers payroll processing for executive branch employees statewide. Currently, the state handles payroll internally through the Division of Finance.

Interested companies must submit written responses by April 27 at 2:00 p.m. Alaska time. Responses must be emailed to [email protected].

The state will review all submissions to determine next steps in the procurement process.
