The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities is accepting proposals through May 15 for professional engineering services to update the master plan for Nome Airport.

The project will run from July 2026 through December 2028 and is expected to cost between $500,000 and $999,999. The master plan update will guide future development and improvements at the airport, which serves as a critical transportation hub for the Seward Peninsula region.

Proposals must be submitted by 4:00 p.m. on May 15, 2026. Firms can submit electronically through the state's ZendTo system at https://drop.state.ak.us/drop/ or use the locked drop box at the Tech Services Building in Fairbanks.

The request for proposals package will be available April 23 and can be downloaded at https://dot.alaska.gov/procurement/awp/awp-rfp-cal.cfm. People outside Fairbanks can request a copy by calling (907) 451-2247. There is no charge for the package.

The Northern Region Contracts Section will accept electronic submissions sent to [email protected]. Files will be downloaded but not opened until after the deadline passes.
