State seeks comments on private aircraft parking permit at Kodiak Airport

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities is accepting public comments through June 11 on a proposal to permit private aircraft parking on state land at Kodiak Airport. Paul Horn has applied for a five-year permit to use approximately 4,800 square feet in Revetment Area 2, Lot B, for parking his private aircraft and related vehicle.

The annual rent would be $1,041.60 plus associated fees. Competing applications or written comments must be received by 4:30 p.m. on June 11, 2026, after which the department will decide whether to execute the permit.

The department manages permits for aircraft tiedowns and parking at state airports, with terms ranging from three months to five years.

Only those who submit written comments or competing applications will receive notification of the final decision.
