The Alaska Department of Natural Resources is accepting bids through April 28 for rental vehicles to support wildfire suppression and emergency response across the state.

The Division of Forestry and Fire Protection needs vehicles available on short notice when fires break out or other emergencies occur. Bids are due by 2:00 PM Alaska Time on April 28, 2026, when they will be publicly opened.

The state is not required to rent vehicles under the contract, and rental companies are not required to accept every request. But once a company accepts an order, all contract terms apply. The state may award contracts to multiple vendors.

Companies with questions about the bid must submit them in writing by April 20 at 2:00 PM. Telephone questions must be confirmed in writing.
