The Alaska Department of Revenue will hold hearings May 11-15, 2026, for property owners appealing their state tax assessments.

The State Assessment Review Board will meet from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day at the University of Alaska Anchorage's John E. Havelock Trial Simulation Courtroom, located in the Professional Studies Building at 2533 Providence Drive.

Property owners who want to attend by videoconference must contact the Office of Administrative Hearings by 1:00 p.m. on May 17, 2023, at [email protected] or (907) 269-8170. The notice does not explain the discrepancy between the 2026 hearing dates and the 2023 videoconference deadline.

The board reviews appeals of property valuations set by the state assessor. These valuations determine how much property tax owners of oil and gas facilities, pipelines, and utilities pay to the state.
